This beautiful Chinese export six panel lacquered coromandel screen features hand-carved soapstone of ladies in leisure setting in an imperial courtyard with trees, pavilions, surrounded by water. The entire screen has intricated floral pattern of mother of pearl inlays throughout, and each panel has floral motif on the bottom of each panel, supported by copper clad feet. The reverse side is decorated with gilded flowers over a black ground. This is truly a stunning piece.
Overall Dimensions: 96 inches wide x .75-inch-thick x 72 inches high
