Designed by the renowned Dynasty Gallery studio of San Francisco, California, this substantial piece weighs a highly impressive 4 lbs 7oz. It stands as a magnificent showcase of classic, heavy-cased Murano-style glassblowing techniques. The bird features a brilliant, saturated emerald green core meticulously detailed with a uniform bullicante (controlled bubble) pattern. This is beautifully contrasted by the depth of the bird's striated wings, which feature intricate green cross-hatched feathers that add a balanced, remarkably life-like shape to the figure. The body is encased in a thick, heavy layer of clear glass using a master-level sommerso technique, offering clear views at different angles and showcasing a constantly varying sculptural form as you move around it. Accented with a bold red beak, the figure gracefully transitions into a smooth mauve base that fits seamlessly as it rests in view of its surroundings. This sculpture retains its original vintage studio label on the bottom. It is a striking, high-quality statement piece perfect for a modern mantle, bookshelf, or eclectic console styling. Excellent vintage condition with the original studio label intact on the base. No chips, cracks, or deep scratches. Minimal, expected light shelf wear on the bottom surface. See less
