Amazing rare mid century modern coffee table from the 1950s with a glass top and shelf made by Heywood Wakefield. Glass slides right on the two grooves to form the table surface right above the shelf. Every edge and corner is beautifully sculpted. Legs are permanently fixed to the table and not removable. Very reminiscent of Paul McCobb designs even though it's from Heywood Wakefield. No mark. Very rare piece!
