Dating to the … Read more This is an iconic set of three McGuire plant stands crafted from the company's signature leather-wrapped bamboo. Dating to the 1970s, these sculptural stands showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and organic modern aesthetic that made McGuire one of the most influential names in American furniture design. We have included an original picture from the McGuire Furniture Portfolio from the 70's. These were not signed, like a lot of the bamboo designs. This set comes from a prominent Houston family, who owned a well know Houston Furniture and Art Gallery and who's owners were art conservators and collectors. This and many pieces were acquired from McGuire through this Gallery. All pieces has been beautifully maintained and offered here along with many other McGuire pieces from this estate to be listed.

Each stand features hand-selected bamboo joined with McGuire's distinctive rawhide leather wrappings, creating a structure that is both visually lightweight and remarkably strong. These would look perfect in a coastal, organic modern, tropical, Hollywood Regency, or California casual interiors. This is a very rare set!
