A floral scene interspersed with flying sparrows decorates the body of the vase. Both the foot and the rim of the vase incorporate stylized floral bands. What is particularly unusual and a mark of exceptional quality and attention to detail is that the top of the rim has had cloisonné applied to it as well. Applied medallion mark for Hayashi Tanigoro to the foot. See less
