Hand woven of willow reeds with a triple hand carved bamboo handle and ring. The ring is wrapped with rattan. The handle has calligraphy which denoted either blessings or who made it and the capacity of the basket. This has a wonderful patina as it was used in the fields and it's why it's missing some of the metal medallions that were placed to reinforce areas that could become weak.
I'm an award winning basket maker and am parting with some of my collection. I'm also a collector and interior decorator who's downsizing a house and emptying a storage unit so please follow me as I slowly go through a treasure trove of eclectic decor all from a non-smoking home. Thanks
