Decorative turned half columns accent the corners, while the desktop, when closed, features a curvaceous carved central panel that adds visual interest to the front of this Swedish bureau. One slender drawer sits above the secretary section, with three larger drawers residing below. The top keys and locks still function, while the lower three drawers open using brass pulls. The desktop opens and rests simply on hinges, revealing an interior fitted with nine drawers and a central cubby storage area. The warm pine has developed a beautiful patina through age and use.
Restored, strong, stable, and ready to use. Minor nicks, scratches, and cracks are seen throughout, and old separation of the two planks forming the top has been sealed.
