Marlo Broughton (MARLOBRO) (b. 1987) is a Detroit-based American pop artist, designer, and muralist known for his bold graphic portraits that merge contemporary pop culture, street art, and social commentary. Beginning his career through collaborations with Tommey Walker of Detroit VS Everybody and creating artwork and branding for Big Sean’s early independent music releases, Broughton later transitioned to a full-time fine art practice. His work has been exhibited at Playground Detroit, 1xRUN, SCOPE Miami Beach, and Murals in the Market, and has been featured through Saatchi Art and Singulart. Through paintings, murals, and commercial collaborations, Broughton has established himself as a prominent voice in Detroit’s contemporary art scene, with works held in growing private collections throughout the United States and abroad.
