This striking wooden candlestick is a beautiful example of mid-century European folk art, brought from Germany in 1974. Exact age unknown. Expertly hand-turned from a solid, rich hardwood with a dark brown stain, it features highly detailed geometric chip-carving (Kerbschnitt) down the pillar. The true highlight is the spectacular tiered base, showcasing three perfectly balanced layers carved with flawless geometric symmetry that encircles each rim.
