Splendid Art Deco ceramic vase, entirely hand-shaped on a wheel, glazed, vitrified, and decorated entirely by hand. Signed under the base by the "Landa" factory of Albissola, it dates back to the early 20th century. The vase's decoration features a characteristic stylized bird of paradise and floral eye motifs on an ochre yellow background, typical of the "Landa" factory's production in the 1920s and 1930s. The vase is attributed to Romeo Bevilacqua (Florence, 1908 - Savona, 1958), a renowned Italian ceramist and painter, who has been the factory's artistic director since 1925. The antique patina is evident, especially under the vase's base, perfectly consistent with our dating. Vases of this size, associated with promotional competitions of the period (such as the famous Star Meat Extract competitions in Genoa), are highly sought after by enthusiasts of Ligurian ceramics and period objects, as they perfectly represent the tastes and customs of the 1930s in Italy.
