Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the outer fabric has an all over but even serious sun fading while the underneath is darker so some may want to reupholster. It is priced accordingly. Don’t you just love it when someone brings you flowers?? WE DO!!! Well, for a moment, consider us your vintage floral delivery service!!! No vase required! LOL!!! Ok, not really. This is a WONDERFUL large sized ottoman composed of an octagon shaped frame upholstered in a FABULOUS botanical floral print tapestry bearing detailed floral motifs in shades of muted yellow, orange, and reds featuring a beautiful button tufted cushion top with segments separated by matching symmetrical welt cords giving it a soft, paneled aesthetic and straight cylindrical wood legs under a lovely kick-pleated dress skirt surrounding the base. Can we just say… SPECTACULAR!!! So, the fabric has an interesting story… it looks like it has been sitting near a large picture window somewhere soaking up the sun. Oddly, the outer fabric is pretty evenly sun faded while underneath still retains a darker appearance… it almost looks like it was purposeful… (probably not) but it could certainly still be used this way… otherwise… we never consider reupholstering to be a BAD thing… We LOVE new fabrics!!! Just imagine the choices, colors, textures, etc.! And, with this particular piece… changing the fabric could change its whole décor style! Create just the right look for YOUR space!!! Right now, it bears a Traditional aesthetic that will be beautiful among many décor styles and is sure to be a statement piece in whatever room it is placed. Talk about a comfortable spot to put your feet up as you lean back in a lounge chair in your family room, or a convenient spot to sit as you remove your shoes in the entry way or while you put your shoes on in the dressing room, or you could also use it in place of a coffee table in the living room. Some will call it an ottoman… some will call it a footstool… while others will call it a coffee table… AND… they would all be correct. So, no matter WHAT you choose to call this awesome, fabulous, fantastic floral piece… Be sure you call it YOURS!!!
