A stunning two-piece Italian-style cabinet featuring richly figured burl walnut veneer with hand-inlaid floral and foliate marquetry throughout. The serpentine front, ebonized carved trim, scrolled cabriole legs, and original brass escutcheon hardware give this piece a commanding presence that is increasingly hard to find.
The upper section opens to reveal two shelved compartments with beautifully grained wood interiors. The lower section provides additional enclosed storage. Both sections display the same intricate marquetry detailing on all visible surfaces, including the sides.
In good vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age and use — the patina adds to its character. No structural issues.
A true statement piece for a formal dining room, study, library, or grand entryway.
