Attributed to Provin Serres, a French Academic sculpture and disciple of Mathieu Morin, this large plaster sculpture depicts a boy with his faithful dog. Dating to circa 1880, the youth is clad in traditional garb from the Renaissance. The obedient dog sits by his side with a ball in his mouth. Presented on a hand-carved classic pedestal.
