Constructed from solid Elm (Yumu) utilizing … Read more An exceptional late Qing Dynasty / early Republic period Chinese wedding cabinet, c. 1900. Constructed from solid Elm (Yumu) utilizing traditional doweled joinery and hand-planed floating panels. The interior retains its magnificent, untouched historical patina and raw hand-tooled textures, while the exterior features a masterfully restored deep black lacquer finish adorned with hand-gilded auspicious calligraphy.Cabinet has one shelf on bottom that opens with bottom two doors. Two shelves are on top, three shelves total. Cabinet measures 52 inches tall and 60 inches wide. Black lacquer Chinese Wedding Cabinet. The cabinet is made using no nails or screws and wood doweled joinery. See less
