These sculptural handkerchief bowls by Willy Guhl are iconic examples of mid-century Swiss design, formed in molded fiber cement with softly undulating edges that feel both architectural and organic. Each piece shows beautifully aged surface character, with layered patina, natural mottling, and areas of original lichen still intact, adding remarkable depth and authenticity to the surface. Subtle variations from decades of outdoor exposure give every bowl its own distinct presence. Equally striking indoors or out, they work effortlessly as statement centerpieces, planters, or decorative vessels, offering timeless modernist form balanced by richly earned texture and history.
