The symmetrical deeply carved panel moldings on the doors are prototypical Louis XIV-style geometry — no Rococo asymmetry — giving the piece strong architectural presence. The integrated stile legs (structural uprights that extend directly to the floor) are another strong early 18th-century indicator, providing robust support without separate bun or cabriole feet. The buffet has delicate hand-carved shell motifs, scrolling details, and a graceful scalloped apron along the base. This piece checks all boxes for dating from the transition between the Louis XIV and Régence era (circa 1715–1740). See less
