Distinguished by their gilded dolphin handles, hand-painted floral decoration and elegant moulded ornament, they exemplify the high standard of Worcester craftsmanship during the early twentieth century.

The vases are made in shape 1578 and belong to the celebrated Persian Range. Each carries a unique floral composition, reflecting the factory's tradition of individual hand-painted decoration rather than mechanically repeated designs. The softly shaded blush ivory ground provides an elegant backdrop for the finely painted flowers and rich gilding.

Both retain the printed Royal Worcester mark, Registration Number 188681, shape number 1578 and hand-painted initials to the underside. Worcester date marks indicate manufacture in 1902 and 1903. The sculptural dolphin handles and carefully moulded ornament contribute significantly to the decorative appeal of the pair.

Combining sculptural form, fine painting and original gilding, this matched pair offers both decorative appeal and collector interest.
