A 1994 UNIQUE authentic piece ~ this Michael Hansen Art Deco decorative centerpriece bowl is BEAUTIFUL. This hand blown studio art piece showcases the distinctive geometric patterns, free form and luxurious aesthetic characteristic of the Art Deco era, bringing a touch of vintage glamour. Styled with the floppy, ruffled, handkerchief or wavy edge design this centerpiece includes rich purples, deep emerald and lime green, yellow and white accents! The swirls are AMAZING. Coated with shimmering metallic irridescent sheen that shifts colors and reflects a rainbow spectrum depending on the angle and lighting.
Michael Hansen, cofounder of the California Glass Studio, Sacremento, CA, renowned contemporary Glass Master, engraved his name on the bottom of the bowl. I have tried to show the signature in the picttures but it's difficult. He is well known for blending vivid colors with the shimmering accents. This is a verified, hand signed piece. Size: 22 x 21 x 10.25". In the glass world, a piece over 20" is considered a "masterworks scale" because of the technical difficulty.
