A rare decorative French ceramic bowl signed Robert Bonfil (or Bonnefille), made in the 1950s.
This elegant piece features an organic and asymmetrical shape particularly characteristic of the post-war revival of French ceramics. Its shuttle-shaped form with upturned ends rests on a small central pedestal that accentuates its visual lightness.
The interior is decorated with an abstract design evoking a floral or vegetal motif, rendered in subtle shades of seafoam green, turquoise, and beige on a white background. The exterior, simply glazed in satin white, highlights the purity of the lines and the balance of the composition.
