This unique, handcrafted piece of furniture was created from the original chest of a century-old grandfather clock. The cabinet was cleaned without any wood damage and transformed into an elegant, glass-fronted display cabinet that retains its historic character.
Made entirely of solid oak, except for the wall, which is made of other wood planks, and the pine shelves, added in the 1950s, this piece is decorated with hand-carved carvings and carpentry details characteristic of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The original shape and beautiful, deep patina of the wood create the unique atmosphere of old residences and manor houses.
The interior features four display levels (three shelves plus the base), making it perfect as a display cabinet for small porcelain, glassware, collectibles, militaria, or other small decorations.

Condition
The wood at the bottom of the unit and the end strips show traces of inactive woodworm and dents. The old hinges remain and can be used as hooks for hanging items.
The doors have a hinge strip installed in the 1950s.
All visible in the photos.
The display cabinet has been cleaned and preserved with eco-friendly hardwood oil.
It retains its natural patina and noble traces of age.
There are some imperfections and abrasions typical of furniture over 100 years old.
The door moves easily and springs due to the natural deformation of the wood.
The lock is not original, key included.
