Marianne Starck (1931–2007) was a prominent Danish ceramist, known for her work at Michael Andersen & Søn on Bornholm, where she worked as artistic director from 1955 to 1993. Starck is internationally recognized for her unique style, which combines her background in graphics with ceramic design. She created a wide range of works, from everyday objects to decorative reliefs and mirrors.

Born in Holsten, Germany, Marianne Starck was trained as a potter and graphic artist, which characterizes many of her ceramic works. Her best-known collections include the "Negro" series, which became an iconic part of her production at Michael Andersen & Søn. This piece has an attribution mark,
