The body is adorned with fluid, relief-like decorations reminiscent of tangled leaves, roots, or plant shoots that extend beyond the rim of the vessel, creating an almost sculptural composition.

The surface is covered with a striking glaze in deep shades of brown, graphite, green, and blue highlights. Each side of the object presents a different arrangement of forms and chiaroscuro, making the vase interesting from every angle.

The piece is very heavy and solid, made of thick artistic ceramic. The body bears the monogram “RB,” likely the signature of the artist or studio.
