Its richly turned barleytwist legs, carved apron, and gracefully proportioned silhouette reflect the Renaissance Revival and Spanish Revival influences that defined American interiors of the 1920s and 1930s.

The table’s two draw‑leaves glide outward from beneath the top and rise to meet the surface, offering a charming and functional expansion of space—perfect for entertaining or styling. The wood retains a soft, time‑earned patina, with gentle wear on the top that speaks to decades of use and care. It was restored at some point in its life, and the finish now shows a blend of earlier refinishing and later, honest age.

Underneath, the table carries the Cochran Chair Co. maker’s mark, along with a Reifers Transfer Center (Lafayette) plaque—an evocative detail that adds provenance and narrative depth.

A rare form from a respected Southern furniture maker, this piece brings both utility and soul to a collected interior.
