Lathe turning marks are faintly visible beneath the painted surface, with typical artisan asymmetry in the hand-painted details. Minor, localized paint loss and fading on the floral motifs and stripes; subtle scuffing on the wooden heads including a small surface abrasion on the rear of the mother's head, alongside an age-appropriate patina to the lacquer.
