Octagonal Venetian wall mirror with canted corners, Napoleon III period, mid-to-late 19th century.
The frame is composed of beveled and engraved glass panels, decorated with floral, foliate, and white scroll motifs. The crown features symmetrical cut-glass scrolls, embellished with round discs and engraved plant motifs. The peripheral border is finished with finely cut pearl beads. The back support is made of period-blackened oak.
Workshop report: some rosettes are missing from the fixing screws; a chip is noted on a decorative glass element in the lower left corner. Patina and wear consistent with the age of the piece. Cleaning is recommended. The item is entirely original, according to the seller.
