The vase handmade by using the Millefiori technique, a traditional Venetian glassmaking method where rods of colored glass (murrine) are fused together to create intricate floral or geometric patterns.
This style is strongly associated with Murano glassmakers from the island of Murano, Italy.
One well-known producer of such pieces is Fratelli Toso, a historic Murano glass company founded in the mid-19th century.
Many similar vases are attributed to them, though other Murano artisans also create Millefiori designs. Without a maker’s mark or label, it is difficult to confirm the exact designer, but it is almost certainly Murano glasswork.
Our vase features a vibrant millefiori design, a traditional glassmaking technique where multicolored glass canes are sliced to reveal intricate floral or geometric patterns.
The surface is covered with small, flower-like motifs in a variety of colors including red, blue, green, yellow, pink, and white.
The vase has a narrow waist and flared top, with a gently ruffled rim that adds a dynamic, organic feel.
The colors are bright and cheerful, blending together in a mosaic-like arrangement.
It is made of handblown glass, likely Murano-style, known for its craftsmanship and artistic quality.
