Add timeless garden charm with this striking pair of vintage cast iron reticulated lacework planters. Beautifully crafted with intricate openwork panels featuring a basket-weave motif, these decorative planters showcase the exceptional detail and craftsmanship associated with early 20th-century garden ornaments.
The substantial cast iron construction has developed a naturally weathered patina over time, with areas of oxidation and age-related wear that enhance their authentic character and antique appeal. Raised on delicate feet and finished with a scalloped rim, they make wonderful statement pieces for a garden, terrace, sunroom, or interior conservatory.
Equally beautiful displayed with flowering plants, topiaries, or left empty as sculptural decorative objects, this matching pair offers both function and visual interest. Their intricate pierced design allows light and shadow to play through the pattern, creating a captivating display from every angle. The dimension fits an 8-10" plastic pot perfectly. It is unknown whether these planters which date to the late 19th to mid 20th century were made in a foundry in the United Kingdom or the United States since we are unable to find a foundry mark.
An historic and decorative pair (which are rarely found) that brings classic Victorian-inspired elegance to any indoor or outdoor setting,.

Rust appears in various places, including a foot, some spots on the sides.. The rust was kept as a decorative element and is not rust that has harmed the structure. These characteristics contribute to the pieces' unique antique charm. One pot has one foot that leans a little to the left, but it is not very noticeable.
