The fabric covering the seats appears to be raw silk and was placed over another fabric that is still present on all three chairs. As vintage chairs, there are some condition issues that I need to point out. The decorative element in the back of each chair is covered in veneer, and some of this veneer has fallen off over the years (refer to pictures 13 and 17). There are scuff marks and areas of missing paint on the legs (refer to picture 18). The fabric on one chair has a water stain on it (refer to picture 12). The scene painted at the top of each back is signed by the artist, Welch. If you already have some of these Union National chairs and want to expand your set, these chairs would be ideal. There are no labels showing the manufacturer on the underside of these chairs.

I photographed these chairs outside on a sunny afternoon in June. They will invariably look different when viewed in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when matching colors.
