Features a richly detailed scene of the Wright Brothers' historic first powered airplane flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, December 18, 1903, reproduced from an original oil painting by artist Allen A. Adams. The scene depicts the Wright Flyer on the launch rail with figures and outbuildings in the background rendered in warm earth tones against a dramatic sky. Finished with a gold rim. Part of a numbered limited edition of 10,000 plates. Marked on verso with full series text, artist signature, numbering, and American Heritage Fine China backstamp.
