Strongly attributed to Marwal Industries—or one of its premium New York contemporaries like the Alexander Backer Co.—this piece captures the era’s fascination with stylized, global realism.

Unlike the more common, heavily accessorized tiki or tropical tropes of the period, this sculpture stands out for its refined minimalism. The subject is rendered with a quiet, serene elegance, featuring clean contours, a sleek, swept-back hairstyle, and a singular contrasting cream-colored button earring.
