This listing is for a Heavy 18" Tall Antique Late Edo Period Japanese Bizen/Iga Ware Tsubo Jar features a distinctive ash glaze drip featuring a distinct dark ash glaze drip down one side.
Origin: Often from Japan, particularly kilns like Bizen or Iga, commonly dating from the Edo or Momoyama periods.
Design: Typically characterized by a voluminous, rounded body, a rolled rim, and natural, unglazed earthenware combined with ash glazes.
