Constructed with substantial turned faux bamboo corner posts, applied faux bamboo moldings, and distinctive bamboo diamond motifs centered on the drawer fronts

Crafted in the Victorian Aesthetic Movement taste, the chest retains its original wooden pulls, key escutcheons, and warm grained finish. The case is raised on faux bamboo feet and displays solid wood secondary construction with hand-cut dovetail joinery consistent with the period.

The combination of marble, faux bamboo detailing, and architectural form reflects the enduring influence of Anglo-Japanese and Aesthetic Movement design popular during the late nineteenth century.

This is in very nice antique condition. There has been a professionally repaired crack to the marble. Wear to the marble is visible, but it blends nicely with the veined marble. We have a matching mirror that attaches to the back we can offer with this, but have not attached it in the images. We will add the images per request.
