Vintage Italian-made four-drawer nightstand or side chest. Masterfully crafted with a dramatically figured burl wood veneer, this piece radiates warmth and luxury. The rich, swirling patterns of the burl are beautifully showcased across the top surface, front drawers, back and side panels.
All edges feature a crisp, dark-toned inlaid border that frames the exceptional burl wood grain pattern. Each of the four stacked drawers is outfitted with an ornate cast metal pull handle featuring scrolling rococo foliage details. Solidly constructed with a sturdy plinth base, the chest offers abundant bedside or chairside storage while maintaining a compact, narrow footprint. Underneath features a vintage "MADE IN ITALY" stencil mark.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and history. The burl veneer retains a lustrous finish. Minor cosmetic imperfections typical of vintage pieces can be observed, including a few subtle age cracks to the veneer framing strips.
