Non-functional as a blade, it served as a symbol of power, authority, and ritual status within the Senufo Poro society, traditionally carried by chiefs and dignitaries as an emblem of leadership. Crafted using the cire perdue (lost-wax) casting method, the figure is cast in brass over an iron core, creating a rich, lustrous patina that symbolizes spiritual purity and prestige. The warm bronze finish speaks to the object's ceremonial significance and age. Dimensions: 13" H × 6" W × 2.25" D A distinguished addition to any collection of African art and cultural artifacts.
