Early 20th-century color lithograph by renowned British sporting artist Cecil Aldin, published in London by Lawrence & Jellicoe in 1905.
The scene depicts mounted fox hunters gathering in a cobblestone courtyard prior to the day's hunt, rendered in Aldin's distinctive style with exceptional attention to equestrian detail and English country life. Aldin remains one of the most celebrated sporting illustrators of the Edwardian period and is highly regarded among collectors of hunting, equestrian, and British sporting art.
The work bears a pencil signature in the lower margin and remains housed in an attractive custom frame with green matting and gilt liner.
