A finely crafted Southwest Native American basket, attributed to the Navajo, dating to approximately 1910. This coiled or twined woven basket features a distinctive bowl shape with a wide mouth and a gently rounded base. The natural fibers exhibit a warm, earthy tone, intricately interwoven with darker, possibly dyed, fibers to create a striking geometrical pattern that repeats around the exterior and interior rim. The pattern consists of angular, stepped motifs in shades of brown, characteristic of traditional Southwestern indigenous artistry.
