About the artist:

She was in New York City in 1919; however, most of her career was spent in northern California where, as a resident of Sausalito, she taught for 30 years at Tamalpais High School.

During the 1950s she lived in Nevada City and in 1961 she moved to Sacramento where she remained until her demise on Nov. 30, 1965. She was the widow of F. B. Wood.

Her work includes portraits, miniatures, murals, and watercolor landscapes.
