set of four modular stackable coffee tables marema model from the young-play line, made of molded abs in a mustard yellow finish. Designed by gianfranco frattini and produced by cassina in 1967, they represent an interesting example of italian design experimentation with plastic materials. Each table features a circular top with a raised edge and a geometric ribbed structure that gives the ensemble a strong sculptural character. The four elements can be used individually as side tables or stacked together to form a compact cylindrical composition. The soft lines and use of abs recall the space age aesthetic that characterized design during the 1960s and 1970s. A rare and iconic model of the period, it successfully combines practicality with formal research. Good overall condition, showing signs of age and use, including minor scratches and light surface wear consistent with the age of the pieces.
