At the lower left, a second teal bird appears among scattered botanicals, giving the lower portion of the composition a looser, more open quality than the upper field. Cream piping runs along all four edges.

Woven into the fabric as a satin-face jacquard, the bird, branches, and flowers carry color and tonal variation built from thread placement rather than dye or surface treatment. Because the ground uses a satin weave face, it reflects light at a different angle than the woven motifs do, which creates a natural visual separation between background and figure without added contrast treatment.
