A small corner cabinet or encoignure, c. 1850, French. Made from solid oak with a limewashed finish, most likely for a canted bay or room with an irregular angle. Features a plank top with shaped wood gallery, a single drawer with marbled paper lining, and a closed cupboard with one fixed internal shelf. The cupboard door knob also acts as a latch.
Cabinet is narrower at the back than the front.
Width of front is 16.25". Width of back is 11".
Left side is angled. Right side is square.
Overall height is 33.75".
Height to top surface is 32".
