About the artist.
Robert Lemonnier 1883-1970 was a landscape, seascape and Orientalist painter. His colored impressionist paintings of Provence and Marocco scenes, especially Marrakech are avidly collected worldwide. He had a long career spanning for more than 60 years, and had numerous expositions in France and Europe. Robert Lemonnier died in 1970 at the age of 87.
