An exceptional and rare original 1973 Cuban screenprint (silkscreen) movie poster designed by legendary graphic artist Julio Eloy for the Italian film Lo cierto y lo falso (Il vero e il falso), directed by Eriprando Visconti and starring Terence Hill and Martin Balsam.
Produced by the ICAIC (Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry), this poster features a striking, minimalist pop-art graphic of a bright pink heart seamlessly merging into a dark gray question mark set against a vibrant turquoise background. Cuban poster art from this era is world-renowned for its hand-silkscreened production and bold political/artistic expression, making this a highly desirable piece for collectors of mid-century design, cinema history, and Latin American art.
See the digitally staged photo mock-up of this piece in an elegant room for inspiration! This is for reference only- this comes unframed. Condition: Good vintage condition.
Unframed. This piece shows light signs of age consistent with its history and authentic Cuban screenprint paper stock. There is minor handling wear along the white borders, a 1/8” tear on the left side border, and a small, faint ink smudge/transfer on the lower right corner area near the artist signature, which adds to its authentic, hand-printed screenprint character. Will ship rolled.
