We have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful American Antique 20th century Chippendale Ball & Claw Slant Front Desk. … Read more We have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful American Antique 20th century Chippendale Ball & Claw Slant Front Desk. It is beautiful and practical, made by the master craftsman, slant front top, featuring a superb carved "Fan" / "Shell" on the center of the lid. Interior under the lid is fitted with letter compartments, drawers, door and two secret sliding compartments. Front of the desk has four large drawers. Top drawer is flanked with pull out slides which are support for the lid when the desk is open for use. Each drawer has it's pair of original brass / bronze handles and antique bronze / brass lock in the center (no key). All drawers are done beautifully, secondary wood is pine. It is dovetailed on the top on outside. Desk is in good sturdy used condition, showing minimal age / use wear for 200+ years old (see photos). Size is large 41.5" wide, 21" deep, and 43" in height. Great desk that will work in any traditional or vintage mid-century modern setting! See less
