Elevate your collection or gallery wall with this exquisite antique late 19th-century German porcelain oyster plate, expertly manufactured by Fasolt & Eichel (the historic makers behind Weimar Porzellan) in Blankenhain, Germany.
This highly collectible piece features a beautifully sculpted relief design showcasing five realistic oyster wells finished in an iridescent, pearlescent pink luster glaze. The center is anchored by a molded scallop shell well, flanked by two miniature wells traditionally used for lemon wedges, pepper, or salt. The perimeter is finished with an elegant, hand-painted gold-gilt scalloped rim.
The reverse side displays the authentic stamped reddish-brown Weimar Shield mark alongside hand-painted pattern numbers "0785 / 44."
A stunning example of late Victorian-era coastal serving ware, perfect for traditional, Grandmillennial, or coastal chic interiors.

This item is an authentic antique over 100 years old. As such, it exhibits normal, minor signs of age and wear which contribute to its vintage character. Overall Integrity: Structurally sound with no structural cracks, major chips, or flea bites along the main display rim or wells. Surface & Glaze: Displays light, expected surface wear and faint glaze scuffs consistent with careful handling and age. No prominent crazing. Gilt Wear: Features minor, uniform thinning and wear to the hand-painted gold gilt along the outer scalloped perimeter, typical for Victorian-era porcelain. Underside / Foot Rim: The unglazed base rim shows standard shelf wear and minor discoloration from age. A tiny, smooth kiln/manufacturing pop may be present on the reverse, inherent to the original 19th-century firing process. Please review all high-resolution photographs carefully as they constitute an integral part of the condition description. less
