This original antique etching by Danish artist Carl Locher, signed and dated 1900, shows a group of fishermen sailing through rough seas under a dramatic sky. The dark waves, distant boats and detailed line work capture the movement and power of the sea.
The frame size is H 18 × W 22 in / H 46 × W 56 cm.
The etching is presented behind glass, with a cream passe-partout, in a period antique gilded wooden frame dating to around 1900. The warm gold tones and aged patina complement the maritime artwork and give the piece a classic look.
