An incredibly soulful, pocket-scaled devotional artifact featuring a graceful lateral sway, a flared lotus base, and rare remnants of historical polychrome pigment locked within a rich olive-gold patina. Hand-cast via the traditional lost-wax method, this rare miniature sculpture beautifully captures the loose, expressive hand of regional tribal folk art. The piece portrays a celestial Apsara or divine temple attendant frozen mid-movement with her torso leaning into a gentle lateral sway. Her right arm curves forward with her palm loosely cupped in a welcoming ritual gesture, while her left arm drops elegantly down past her hip to follow the natural contour of her stride.
Despite standing under 5 inches tall, the figure carries immense narrative soul. Her face is cast with striking primitive charm, displaying stylized wide eyes, a prominent nose, and a high, swept-back topknot bun. She wears an incised waist belt over a simple wrap skirt (dhoti), all resting permanently on an integrated, sharply flared ribbed lotus pedestal. What makes this particular specimen an exceptional find for collectors is the preservation of its surface history; deeply embedded within the crevices of her bodice, lower skirt, and base are highly visible, weathered remnants of a dark painted finish and ancient ritual pigments. This layered, uncleaned texture contrasts beautifully against the exposed, sun-warmed olive-gold brass highlights, providing undeniable evidence of authentic temple use. It serves as a highly sophisticated accent piece, perfect for bringing rich global history, architectural line, and old-world character to an intimate dresser tray, an editorial library built-in, or an entry console grouping.

The solid casting carries a surprising physical weight for its small footprint and sits completely stable on its integrated circular lotus base. The metal surface purposefully exhibits rich, honest handling wear, natural oxidation, and distinct fragments of an antique painted finish native to generations of authentic devotional handling. less
