Bring a piece of the Canadian wilderness indoors with this tactile artisan bud vase. Meticulously hand-selected and custom-drilled from a solid piece of native Pacific Northwest volcanic rock (likely andesite or basalt), it features an elegant, rounded ovoid shape. The smooth, subtly polished surface showcases a rich, dark greenish-gray matrix punctuated by gorgeous natural crystalline flecks.Measuring 3.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide, with a sturdy, organic depth of 1.75 inches at its fullest point, it offers excellent stability while maintaining a sleek, modern profile. The drilled flower well extends approximately 2 inches deep, making it the perfect sculptural vessel for displaying a single fresh flower stem, dried botanical sprig, or a delicate branch.
Acquired in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2006. Unmarked base.
