A handsome 19th century bow front side table or petite desk crafted in an English Regency style out of honey-amber … Read more A handsome 19th century bow front side table or petite desk crafted in an English Regency style out of honey-amber mahogany. The table features a gracefully bowed front apron that holds two fitted conforming drawers with curved faces that follow the arc of the case. The apron is accentuated by a subtle ebonized string inlay accent creating a crisp dark border. The drawers are fitted with circular patinated brass ring pulls and have visible dovetail joinery. The table is supported by four squared and tapered legs terminating in small ebonized cuff bands just above the feet. The table is sturdy with solid joinery and construction. The classical English Regency proportions of the table are light and balanced, well suited for use as a side table, small desk, or against a wall as an entry or hall table.
