A rare and historically significant early 19th-century Polish "Bench" Hanukkah lamp. This piece represents the pinnacle of Eastern European Judaica from the pre-industrial era. The openwork backplate features a beautifully cast crowned Polish Eagle (the White Eagle) above a central menorah motif, supported by two rampant Lions of Judah. The side galleries are topped with stylized bird finials (doves) that serve as brackets for two original, substantial candle sockets. The bench features eight integrated, heavy-walled oil wells/candle sockets. The entire structure is supported by four robust, hand-cast cabriole feet.
Origin: Poland / Eastern Europe (Warsaw Region).
Age: Early to Mid-19th Century (Circa 1820–1850).
Material: Heavy, solid cast brass.
