Each panel is presented in a simple black frame that emphasizes the delicacy of the composition. The work depicts genre scenes enlivened by figures in traditional Asian dress, moving within a stylized landscape. The classic elements of the style are present: pine trees with gnarled trunks, dense foliage in shades of green, and flowers blooming at the foot of mounds. Each panel is highlighted at the bottom by a neoclassical cartouche composed of a central shell, gilded scrolls, and garlands of roses, creating a visual bridge between the Orientalism of the scene and classical European taste.
